In short. You get a written quotation before you pay. Equipment is genuine, and new unless we tell you otherwise in writing before you pay. Ownership passes to you when you have paid in full. You can inspect everything on delivery. Our warranty and 7-day returns apply, and your rights under Ugandan law always come first.

2. What these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy equipment from us: Starlink kits, Starlink accessories, routers and network equipment, and CCTV and security equipment. They apply whether you order by WhatsApp, by phone, by e-mail or at our office. Internet service is covered by our Terms of Service. The installation of a Starlink kit is covered by the Installation Terms you accept for that job (summarised on our Starlink Installation page). For other installation work, such as CCTV, firewalls or network equipment, your quotation sets out the work and the charges, and the cancellation rules on our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations page apply.
3. Quotations and orders
- Before you pay, we send you a written quotation, by WhatsApp, e-mail or on paper. It lists each item and its price, any delivery, transport and installation charges, and how long the quotation is valid. We tell you the expected delivery or installation date when you order.
- We confirm that the item is in stock, and that we can deliver it to your town, before we take your payment.
- Check the quotation before you accept it. If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it before you pay.
- Your order is confirmed when you accept the quotation and we receive your payment, or the deposit the quotation asks for. We send you a written confirmation that you can keep. It refers to these terms. We keep every version of these terms and our other policies, and on request we send you the version that applied to your order as a file you can keep.
- A quotation or invoice never takes away anything these terms, our Warranty Policy or our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations page give you. Where they differ, the version that is better for you applies.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in Uganda shillings and include all taxes: URA taxes and UCC charges are already in them, and nothing is added on top. Where a quotation lists VAT on its own line, the total already includes it. Prices shown on this website come from our billing system and can change; the price that applies is the one in your written quotation.
- You receive an invoice or receipt for every payment.
- Pay only through the methods on our Pay a Bill page. We will never ask for your mobile-money PIN, the password to your bank, e-mail or mobile-money account, or a sign-in code we have sent you. If someone claiming to be from DishNet asks you to pay a different number or account, check with us first, on WhatsApp or by phone at +256 705 993 348.
5. Delivery
- We deliver anywhere in Uganda. Your quotation gives the delivery charge, if there is one. We tell you the expected delivery time when you order.
- If we cannot deliver within the time we gave you, or within 30 days of your order where no time was given, we tell you as soon as we know. You may then wait or cancel. If you cancel, we refund everything you paid.
- When the parcel arrives, check that it is undamaged and complete, and tell us as soon as you can if it is not, ideally within 48 hours. Photos help. Signing for a delivery does not take away your right to reject goods that turn out to be faulty or not as described.
6. Ownership and risk
- Equipment becomes yours when you have paid for it in full.
- From the time it is delivered to you, or to someone you ask us to deliver it to, you are responsible for keeping it safe.
- A kit on a package that is paid over time (such as a Flex package) is governed by the written agreement you sign for it, and by the Hire Purchase Act where that Act applies.
7. Starlink kits
- The kits we sell are genuine Starlink equipment for use in Uganda.
- If you buy a kit for a Starlink account in your own name, we help you order, subscribe and activate it.
- On a DishNet plan, our managed service, we activate your kit for you, and your contract for the service is with DishNet, not with Starlink. The Starlink account that serves your kit is registered and managed by DishNet on your behalf, and you can ask us to transfer it to you (see section 3 of our Terms of Service). Where the law requires it, your kit and account details are registered with the Uganda Communications Commission.
- A kit is set up for your installation address. Using it elsewhere, in motion or outside Uganda needs a plan that allows it (see section 10 of our Terms of Service).
- Kits bought elsewhere, including kits imported privately, are not covered by our warranty, and might not be accepted for activation in Uganda. If Starlink will not activate a kit you bought from us, for a reason that is not your fault, we replace it with one that Starlink activates or refund everything you paid for it, as you choose.
8. Installation and self-installation
A kit package includes professional installation unless your quotation says otherwise, for example for a kit-only or self-install order. Before we start a Starlink installation, you accept the Installation Terms for your job, on a secure page we send you by WhatsApp; they set out the scope, the charges and the cancellation rules. If you buy a kit without installation, you or your installer are responsible for installing it safely and according to the manufacturer's guidance. Our warranty still covers the equipment itself. It does not cover damage caused by an installation we did not carry out.
9. Warranty, returns and refunds
See our Warranty Policy and our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations page. They apply in addition to your rights under Ugandan law, including the right to goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for a purpose you told us about.
10. Business customers
These terms apply to business customers too, unless a written agreement signed by you and DishNet says otherwise.
11. Our responsibility, complaints and law
Sections 14 (our responsibility to you), 15 (events outside our control) and 18 (complaints and the law that applies) of our Terms of Service also apply to these terms. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, the Electronic Transactions Act or any other law of Uganda that cannot be excluded.
